We must move the Regiment's monument from its current location by the Patton Museum outside Fort Knox to a new location just outside Fort Benning, near the site of the future Armor and Cavalry Museum. We are sharing the costs of this move with the 11th Armored Cavalry's Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. One of our fundraising efforts is offering pavers, which will be placed near the monument on its new site.
Welcome Troopers, family, and friends of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
Welcome to the official Blackhorse Association website. Our organization, founded in 1969 and incorporated in 1970, is a non-profit, charitable, organization dedicated to serving our country and our fellow Blackhorse Troopers and their families. We remain committed to our founding principles, which continue to be:
To honor comrades who gave their lives in the service of our country and Regiment. To preserve and strengthen comradeship formed in the Regiment. To proclaim and publicize the achievements and traditions of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. To support the troopers actively serving in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. To establish and provide educational scholarships for the children of the Regiment
Please check back every so often as we frequently update the site with Association news, active Regimental news, events, reunion information, and more. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions or suggestions.
