Allons and greetings from the Blackhorse Regiment. This past month has been busy and full of many events, as we are preparing for the upcoming rotation. Our Troopers worked non-stop and dedicated their full time to our changes of command, rotation, leader events, and more. Allons!
Specialist Jacarius D. Jones recently distinguished himself as the Regimental Commander’s communication representative during PCC6. Demonstrating exceptional technical mastery, SPC Jones managed and maintained all communication platforms utilized by the Regimental Commander, including HF, FM, and MMCS, ensuring continuous, reliable command and control capabilities throughout the rotation.
In addition to his primary duties, SPC Jones served as the critical point of contact for cutting-edge military technology, overseeing the operational testing of the new MASCP (Mobile and Safe Command Platform) system integrated directly into the RCO’s vehicle. His proactive approach went far beyond basic oversight. SPC Jones actively stress-tested the hardware and software under demanding field conditions to evaluate durability and performance. He provided vital real-time feedback to developers and leadership regarding the system’s capabilities, operational limits, and potential enhancements.
Headquarters and Headquarters Troop of Regiment Support Squadron marked a day of transition and continuity with a Change of Command ceremony, honoring the outgoing leadership while welcoming the new command team.
During the Change of Command, outgoing commander CPT Ethan Hill relinquished the guidon after a period of dedicated leadership, passing command to incoming commander, CPT Aseantia Pullens, who expressed confidence in the formation and the mission ahead. Together, the ceremony highlighted the strength of the command team and the continued commitment to readiness and excellence moving forward.
SPC Wyatt Lackman spearheaded maintenance that was being conducted on 2 MBTs, and he continuously takes initiative in the absence of NCO supervision. He demonstrated technical mastery and expertise in maintaining his arms, his equipment and himself, proving to be a true leader in taking initiative.
This action has not gone unnoticed within his squadron and regiment, as his peers, subordinates and leadership have greatly benefited from his hard work, as it embodies the true spirit of a Blackhorse Trooper.
