As we Transition from Rotation 25-09 we quickly change gears for the near 25-11 where we continue to implement the new Blackhorse change. From variations to our formation to the way we fight, Blackhorse is switching gears to fight the future with multi domain formations and converging across domains. The start of August marks our first Trooper of the week! PFC Reford Lockwood was thanked for his exceptional initiative and technical expertise. In preparation for Rotation 25-09 Lockwood proactively engaged with civilian contractors to deepen his understanding of the MTRCS and ISU systems. Applying this knowledge, he returned multiple MTRCS systems to fully mission capable in less than a week often staying past work hours to ensure the troop was ready to go for rotation. His dedication and initiative embody the standard of excellence and make him a true asset to the team. |
A few of our very own Blackhorse Trooper are proudly representing the NTC and Fort Irwin at this years FORSCOM Best Squad Competition at Fort Bliss, Texas. These troopers are showcasing their discipline, skill, and warrior spirit of the Blackhorse Regiment on one of the Army’s biggest competitive stages. The event starts August 12th bringing together the best of the best across FORSCOM to test physical, technical, and tactical expertise. Representing is SGT Bryan Propst, SGT Kane Clarke, SPC Luevano Christian, SPC Cory Waggoner, and PFC Travis Seitz. |
Recently, the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop of the Regimental Support Squadron bid farewell to CPT Spencer Reagan as he passed command to CPT Ethan Hill. We thanked CPT Reagan for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the troop as he moves forward. We welcomed CPT Ethan Hill As they take the guidon and lead HHT into its next chapter. The Blackhorse Regiment looks forward to continued success and excellence under his command. |
Bandit Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th ACR, held a change of responsibility ceremony for 1SG Gollash as he transferred responsibility to 1SG Feleti. We thank 1SG Gollasch for his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to mission. His impact will be felt for years to come within Bandit Troop and the Regiment. We proudly welcome 1SG Feleti as he assumed responsibility bringing years of experience, vision, and commitment. |
We would like to reflect on a great achievement for one of our Troopers and the Regiment being the 2025 FORSCOM Non Commissioned officer of the year, SGT Bryan Propst. His achievements reflect the dedication, discipline, and excellence of the Blackhorse Regiment. |
SGT Ronquillo was recognized as the Trooper of the week for his leadership and technical expertise during rotation 25-09. As Assassin Troop’s shop foreman, he restored three HMMWVs and three OPFOR vehicles achieving a 100% readiness rate. His efforts led the team to win maintenance team of the month three times in four months. |
Troopers across the Regiment prepared, executed, and accomplished efforts in receiving their German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, or GAFPB. Over the span of a week Troopers endured technical, physical, and mental events to prove they had what it takes to earn the prestigious badge. Not only does this exemplify our Troopers abilities in readiness and true grit, but honors their excellence and comradery between our German partners. By the end of the week a total of Bronze medals were awarded, 69 silver, and 20 gold medals. |
Specialist Willie Robling was invited and awarded the Spirit of Service Award at the 2025 American Legion National Convention for his dedication to serving others through events such as the Wrightwood Veterans day ceremony and the Wrightwood community cleanup. His commitment to giving back reflects the true spirit of the Blackhorse Regiment. |
Hawg Company Conducted a change of command responsibility ceremony between 1SG Carpenter and 1SG Williams. We extend our deepest gratitude to 1SG Carpenter as he begins a new chapter in his career and for his unwavering dedication to the Company and Regiment. We welcome 1SG Williams and look forward to his leadership as he continues to build upon the strong foundation that has been set. |
SSG Garcia went above and beyond when ensuring soldiers welfare, training, duty, and morale maintain the highest levels. He consistently strives to assist in all needs regardless of the formation they belong to within the Regiment. For that, he was awarded the Trooper of the week. SSG Garcia assisted multiple Troops across the formation in ensuring compliance with unit prevention policies. His knowledge and professionalism is top tier regarding infantry tactics that increase the lethality of Fury Troop. |
Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th ACR held a change of responsibility from CPT Rosenbaur to CPT Chavira. CPT Rosenbaur has been the stone that has held down HHT ensuring readiness, morale, and Troop welfare. For that CPT Rosenbauer is appreciated for his success, dedication, and leadership. We welcome CPT Chavira as he takes command and continues to lead 2/11 with excellence. |
