Franklin Dewitt Burkhead, 76, of Radcliff, KY, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home.
Retired CSM Burkhead was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a locksmith in the Radcliff area for over thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lee Burkhead.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Susan and Bill Plemmons of Irvington, KY and Sherry and Jesse Wright of Radcliff; 4 grandchildren, Amber and Todd Brown, Brittany and Brandon Collins-Walpole, Jaquelyn Collins and Cheyenne Collins; 1 great granddaughter, Sadie Jo Brown; 1 brother, Milford and Deede Burkhead; a special friend, Cheri Spradlin; and several other family members.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Pastor Jesse Wright, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff with military honors.
Visitation will be at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Monday after 9:00 AM
There will be a masonic service at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
